Supported File Formats

Input File Formats

We support several images, video, audio, and font file formats. We also add more supported file types as needed. Storyteq will automatically convert some file formats for better overall performance. Here's a list of the currently supported types:

Image: 
PNG, JPG, JPEG
TIFF, BMP, and JPEG-2000 (converted to PNG automatically)

Video:
MP4
MOV, WMV, AVI, and MKV (converted to MP4 automatically)

Audio:
MP3
WAV, OGG, FLAC, WMA (converted to MP3 automatically)

Font:
TTF and WOFF
For banner templates, we also have the option to optimize and convert your font to WOFF2.

Output File Formats

For templates created using our Template Builder, you can determine the output quality of your files before you upload the created media to your media channels or DAM system (for templates created in After Effects, please make changes directly in the application). When clicking on the Output Settings tab, all sizes you chose for your template will be listed. The default quality is always set to high. You can change it by size or apply the same rule for all sizes upon clicking on one of the sizes. 

Video templates will be outputted as MP4 files and allow you to set the quality to low, medium, high, and custom.

For Image templates, JPEG or PNG output file formats are available.

For Banner templates, a different range of options is available. Also, as we follow IAB guidelines, you can loop a banner a maximum of 3 times or have a maximum length of 30 seconds.
When setting the output for a banner, you can select a variety of ad servers, and we will make sure your banner will meet the requirements. Currently, we support Google Ads, Campaign Manager, Adform, and Generic Banners out of the box.
